but he got to watch some of the worlds best players!

That doesnt justify £44. Also I bet he had no less enjoyment than I did going to see my home town win in Yorkshire.

It does IMO.

The standard of football between the Premiership and the lower divisions is huge (with a few exceptions), and I'd rather pay £44 a ticket to watch players like Ronaldo, Rooney, Scholes, etc. than sit and watch a lower league game for any amount.

Less of the lower divisions talk, we're one division away, not like we're in League 2.

Well i'm glad my club aren't ripping off their fans. £44 is ridiculous, I dont care who is on the pitch, that is robbery.

£44 is the dearest ticket. They start at £25 and go upwards. I usually pay £25-£35.

Id rather go and enjoy the atmosphere (obviously this doesnt count for Chelsea fans who could enjoy a better atmosphere sat at home)

How can you say that? Being at the match is so much better than watching a tv screen.

I remember paying about £25 to watch Man Utd vs Villa a year or so ago. That was a good price and the seats were good. But £44, it'd have to be an FA Cup Final or something for me to ever think about paying that.

Saying that Crystal Palace charge upto £30 to watch CCC football

I'm too used to paying decent price's for football, football that is just as exiciting and arguabley more competitive.

We paid for the top price tickets which were £90 each and were in a great place right on the half way line and not too high up. Think they started from £45 though.

Yeah but you dont to football to watch "stars" you go to watch and support your team, from what your saying then if Liverpool were playing a weakend team for whatever reason then you wouldn't be happy to pay that amount due to not seeing your best players

No, Im saying in the Premiership you can charge those sort of prices as your seeing better footballers and therefore better football. You dont go to watch those stars, but you do as they come hand in hand with watching top flight football.

But in a way your kind of right, if Liverpool were charging me a load of money and only playing a weakened side (against a similarly weak side) then I wouldnt be happy. I'd still pay it as Id go and support them, but for a large amount Id want to see good football which I wouldnt be getting.
