I'm not even getting into this arguement. There's a hefty debate over in geek day of LCD/Plasma v CRT.

It's a no-brainer to be honest.

Personel pref really but the spec speak for themselves. A lcd or plasma tv IS better than a crt tv hands down.

Prob not to some peoples eyes but seeing a a HD ready tv connect to a HD source is amazing also on a xbox 360 the picture is fantastic. But another reason is that a tv is only going to be as good as your arrial if you have a £3k hd tv and a 20 yr old arrial it isnt gonna be good

Yeah HD ready TV running analogue signal through crap reception & crap connections will look pretty poor!!!

his lg one broke so he had a loaner on, which was a 32" samsung slimfit hd crt and it looked miles and miles better than the lg or samsung(that he has now) and was half the price of both of em!

I've yet to see a digital source connected to a HD TV... I've only ever seen crap analogue TV stations or promo screens on the TV in Comet/PC World/Tesco (yes my Tesco sells decent TVs )!

lee_wee, go and watch an HDTV playing some HD movies from a laptop. You will be utterly amazed at the level of detail.

I might wait a couple of years for the prices to go down on LCD/plasma HD TVs, and for Sky not to charge an extra tenner a month for the privilege!

I wouldn't say years and years. Perhaps that long for HD to become the norm and present in everyone's homes.

by the time you've waited something else will be out. Then you would wait for that.

Take the plunge, purchase something that you know will last you a good 5-7 years. Hence why i went for the Bravia

When I was in Tesco earlier they had a 42" Sony TV think it was LCD? Anyway I thought one in my living room and one in my bedroom would look fantastic, but they cost over a grand each!
