My cd player in my car wont switch on. On wedit kept going on and off while driving and now wont go on at all. Checked all connections at the back and they are fine, checked fuse under the dash and if i did get the correct fuse that was fine too.
So any ideas?
Thanks Si

Its a VDO one, it came with the car. Earth is fine, had a multimeter out today. The security light comes on but wont switch on.

sounds like the headunit is at fault
unfortunately the only place to get them repaired is the dealers so get your wallet out, but it mightbe cheaper to buy an aftermarket cd player

jus thought if you can try pluging another cd player into the car and see if it works ok.
this will confirm its the headunit thats faulty

nopea rover OEM one will most likely havea different plug connection
ideally get you hands on an aftermarket one as it will plug straight in
have you been doing anything behind the dash around the time the problem started?
