xbox360 may not have as big a selection og games but the quality of the majority of games released is very good
personally there was only 4 reasons for me to go from a ps2 to a ps3:
1) gta - also been announced as next gen title for 360
2) gran turismo - test drive unlimited has just come out and im enjoying it as much as i enjoyed gt4
3) metal gear solid - probably the only game i will miss. but then mgs2:substance came out on the original xbox so you never know
4) assassins creed - been announced for 360 now. and apparently, the shit hot demo at e3 show was running on 360 hardware
get a 360 steve you wont be dissapointed. and xbox live adds extra longevity to your games and opens up a whole new world of game playing

those games you listed, I not much for any of those apart from gt4, so that wont really affect me, im starting to like the xbox 360 and read some good reviews

i was just saying thats what i based my decision on purchasing my 360 on
at the end of the day its a good amount of money so not the sort of thing you would probably buy on a whim
at the end of the day if you get one and want a ps3 when they eventually release it, just trade up. you never know tho, you may not want to

i like the idae that developers havent even used 1/3 of the processing power of the xbox

steve, look at getting a 2nd jobby or look on ebay, my flatmate picked up a prem package for 200 quid of ebay with a game (i think)...has made me think about getting one tbh

I would get an hd lcd first.
To say I was dissapointed when I seen the 360 on a normal tv would be an understatement.
You will wonder why you didn't just buy a sega mega drive.

its true, personally i woulnt bother getting a 360 if you dont have HDTV, my mate runs his on a standard tv and it just looks pap

to be honest I don't think it's quite that bad... yes the difference is quite noticeable but the games still look bloody good on a standard definition TV.
I would still get one Steve
