Wy would you do that? You are only letting the laquer flash off, not dry in between coats. Buffing it will fuck everything up, as will sanding or any of the other bullshit people tell you to do in between coats.

it is possible to get a good finish. i have sprayed loadsa stuff by aerosol now and most recently my steinmetz splitter which is as glossy as the rest of my car and an excellent colour match.

in your case i would 1500 wet and dry, but only do it dry just to take the high spots off, then get atleast 3 cans of laquer and only spray it on in the warm in an even coverage with about 20mins between coats. 3 good even coats should get a glossy finish if put on properly.

concentrate on spreading each coat evenly and dont try and get it shiny straight away, you will end up putting too much on otherwise and it will run.

ill say again but temperature is crucial, a warm garage will be the best place,
