Just checking the Chelsea website and the headline is there about an official joint statement between Chelsea and Arsenal over the two players.
No story yet, but a deal must of been reached. If its anything less than Gallas + £10m+ then Arsenal have been robbed!

To be quite honest I think its good business by Wenger.
Got rid of a whinger and a player who is going to turn into another rent boy. Gallas is a better defender imo and can play all positions accross the back.
Plus he got 2m for Pascal Cygan who is garbage. He will add to his defence in January I think and he has 8 million to do that now.
Really have no respect for Cole as a football player, especially when he blamed Arsenal for his illegal talks with Chelsea.

Also apparently Chelsea pulled the plug on the Huth deal at last minute because of gallas going!
Unclear of exactly what has happened, will have to see the whole story today!

could not agree more mate. Lost all respect for Cole he blamed us for what went on, didn't really understand it to be honest  he said we didn't stick by him when we didn't even know about him going to meet Mourinho
Gallas is a great player. Good to see the crybaby (Reyes) go also for Baptista.
As said I do hope Wenger will add to the defence in the next window.

Gallas is on £80,000 a week, which (correct me if im wrong) is the same as Henry. Dont think Gallas is worth that much when you consider Henry is one of the best players in the world

Good deal by both teams, A Cole the best left back around and just what Chelsea needed and Gallas the best all round defender who can play all across the back 4.
I would of done a straight swap but I wouldnt of paid 5m aswell so good deal by Arsenal there.
However I think now the deal is done it's good for both teams as Gallas has been an idiot at Chelsea for the last month as has Cole at Arsenal.
All in all, good business and both teams happy
