Author Can't open airbox!

Just bought a Pipercross panel filter, but can't seem to open the airbox. I've taken off both metal clips on the side but can only open it a crack and can see the edge of the current filter. Is there a special way to do this or am I just stupid? This is my first car and I have no experince. My car is a 1999 Corsa Club 1.2 16v.
Please help, cheers.

undo the hose 2 sec job easy really

so i need to take off the metal clip going round the hose? sorry but how do i do this?

undo the metal clips, then lift it up at the side where the clips are and pull it across in the direction of the engine. It is hooked in on the other side.

oh yes its a jubilee clip so a flat bladed screw driver or a 6/7mm socket should do the job

There is none, there is 2 clips on the engine side then it is hooked in on the wing side.
