any of you giys done some painting on your car??
a smoothed the ridge out my rear bumper and used a spray gun and compresser for the first time every, the gun was cack and was spittin a bit and the paint is all orange pealy m8 said to rub it down with some 1200 grit wet and dry, when i done that its went kinda milky colour and the laquer isnt see through anymore if ya get me so bought some rubbing compound and used that and polished it alot but it still looks kinda shit 
any ideas how i can fix it?

As long as you have enough paint on there you just need to keep wet sanding, using cutting compound and buffing.

1200 is far too course for that kind of thing. 800 it back and paint it again. Then flat back any runs with 2000 grit and machine buff back the orange peel with some G3 compound. If there are any swirs or scratches after then you can use a product called fast glaze by hand to buff them out....

1200 is fine for flatting b4 polishing if the paint is really peely. olden times they used to use that. some painters still do. altho 1500 r 2000 imo is better. less flatting scores to buff out. imo tho ed is correct n it would be better to flat with 800 n paint again
