pulled away from a junction and suddenly a big clunk noise. took it out of gear and put it back in to find that it didnt drive at all, it doesnt stall either when left in gear and foot off clutch. its a 2.0 16v in it.

Gearlinkage? Driveshaft? CV joint? Did you set off at speed or just gently?

just went to go off gently and clunk, looked under bonnett at gear box it all moves but doesnt sound too good

sounds like the wee pin has comeout of the linkage...
You should notice that the gearshift is very loose when chaging (or trying to change)

think that may be the problem, is kinda loose changing and dont need the clutch either when its started

its just a pin the holds the linkage together then... something like £2 for a new one 
|
