256kbps. it peaked at 2.5m/sec, but then dropped back down to 1.5. Bigpond (my ISP), have special terms with a lot of large companies, ie, apple, microsoft... all traffic from them is unmetered, so its as fast as the exchange can pump it out

from what i've played with on vista beta 2, think I will wait for the final and reserve judgement till then...

for now, lack of support (yeah its BETA) and just crapness, aswell as ALOT of feeling and control seems to be taken away, dont like it...

agreed with paul, although the new beta is a much bigger improvement.

Alot of the OS has been completely re-written, which is good.
Now, when playing games, it looks directly at the hardware, and doesnt go through any software.
Direct X 10 should be a big improvement too.

Microsoft are all looking to build in physics software too.

To be fair, the physics software will still be quite intensive, so I think it will only come in 64bit variety of Vista

BETA2 is also slower than previous releases, not sure if you have noticed...

The only reason why I would get it is because it is 64 bit. However, I wont be hurrying to upgrade as the first release will probably be a mess. I'll wait for the problems to be fixed...
