Can't wait till I'm 21 to get this done. Can't seem to get along with contacts and for me being a kayaker and outdoors person glasses are a bit shit at times. Couldn't agree more with the whole decent sunglasses thing and waking up being able to see cannot wait for that day

Well if you get it done at a branch of Optimax let me know and put me down as a reference and you should get money off!
Tim: I know I keep going on about how good it is and to anyone who has never had to depend on glasses it is hard to explain just how good it is, all I can say is that it is life changing, that is about as much as I an say about it, it's more than great, it's more than fantastic, awesome, brilliant, fantastic - it's life changing!

I still think I have to take my glasses off when I get into bed
I just got back from holiday and it was pretty amazing to finally be able to see in the pool

There have been millions of operations since the 80's and not one person has been blinded, if there are any errors (A very rare occurance) then a lot of the time it's down to incorrect aftercare on the patients behalf and also it can normally be corrected with further surgery.

You get what you pay for. I paid £3k in total and have better than 20/20...
I can imagine the people who had their eyes messed up went for the cheapest options at the cheapest surgeries? The wavefront etc does cost due to the extra equipment, plus the newest lasers represent a huge investment compared to some clinics using older equipment.
The laser they used on my eye recognised my iris, tracked my eye in 3D including rotation, etc, etc.

Thought the reccommended age was 21 as your eyes kinda stop growing at 18 but they give it a few years anyway??
