I've come back from a week away to find my car won't budge. When I remove the handbrake (and the handbrake light goes off too) the car acts as if it was still on.
I was wondering if anyone had any ideas to the cause of this, whether it is the handbrake or whether there was something else to look out for.

Thanks

Probably just the handbrake stuck on a bit, put it in gear and just rock it forward on the clutch a bit and it will release. Then just go down the road and use the brakes a bit to clean them up.

Just went and re-tried that, but it still won't budge.

Seized brakes ?

Whats it doing exactly ?

Are you basically finding the bite as normal and unable to move at all ?

Well it's acting as if the handbrake is on, or similarly. I find the bite and where is would normally move forward it won't.

I should mention I'm on a slight hill and with the handbrake 'off' it just sits there.

Just be a bit more aggressive, failing that give the drums a bit of a whack with a hammer or something.

Okay, now that I've had someone else with me I have found out that it's the back left wheel not rotating.

I guess I'll get it up on a jack and give it a good kicking.
