Tring to do the paperclip test on a 1997 1.0l Corsa. Found the diagnostic connector (on the fuse boxcard). The connector is 16 pins BUT there is NO insert (conductor) inside socket 6 so no pint in connecting pins 5 and 6 together.
The connector sockets with inserts are 3,4,5,7 and in the next row the last one at the top - I don't know if this is 9 or 16 as it depends upon how the numbering starts onthe second row.
I've scanned loads of messages on this and other forums and they all say short pins 5 and 6 - no point me doing this as I'm shorting 5 to thin air!
Help..
By the way i am doig this as the management light comes on whenever the car is started from warm - it goes off after a couple of miles or several minutes and the car drives fine. From cold the light is off perfectly!
