Hi peeps, what a night, mate rang me to tell me he had gone up a curb when i turn up i see this some might say only another Escort, well its dont 28k, lived in a garage all its life and is the last one off the production line that was red and RHD with the number plate P2000 RS from the factory, to say he's gutted is an understatement, luckily the chassis doesnt seem twisted and most parts are bolt on so hopefully it will be fixed, were all going to chip in to help him out as its a special car we feel not really like any other, going to be looking at a couple of grand to fix it easily but hopefully will get done sharpish when the police let him have it back

hopefully it wont be RIP

Cheaper to fix the car than the traffic lights and railing

No doubt that will be mended

well if he goes through insurance they will pay for all the damage to lights etc and car.. But from what you said he isn't going through insurance??? you are all going to help him out..

There is really no point going fully comp if you can't afford to claim?

Mav, we think it is going to get written off and he will want to buy it back then, then have to pay for the lights etc...

Yes, but all depends what the police say, they said something to him if he was driving like a twat then they might not pay out.... there going to measure the skid mark's or something...

It doesn't matter what the police say does it?
He's covered fully comp whether he was driving like an idiot or not.
Its also nothing to do with the police afaik.
Nobody was injured so it's a civil case and not a criminal one

If he is fully comp his insurance will pay out no matter if he was the biggest arse on the road...Thats why you go fully comp...

the insurance would pay out even if he's 3rd party, well they'd pay for the lamppost etc, as the same thing happened to me. i was lucky not to get done for dangerous driving as well

my bro was recently involved in an accident. It was his fault and he admits that he made a mistake but the police are going down hard on him. Even though it was just a misjudment when pulling out of the road, he wasn't driving recklessly it was just a pure accident.
He is getting either 3 points or going on a 2-3 day training scheme he his hoping for the training as being only 18 and passed his test a month ago he could do without the points.

It pisses me off becuase if a 50 year old was to have the same accident the police wouldn't do feck all about it
