hi, ive got a powerflow system on at the moment with no middlebox. was jst wondering wat is the best exhaust for power gains for the c20xe

2.5 " is way too big for an xe. 2 1/4 is fine.

yeh it is 2 1/4 at the moment. jst after one that sounds a bit deeper have bin told to get one made up. is it best to have a middlebox in the system??

Youll see no more gains moving to any other size bore, its fine as it is.

I ran with a middle box in my XE, was way to loud without it. I had an astra middle box put in.

I got a Magnex system on mine, its nice and quiet.
Not sure about power gains tho...
I think its more a personal choice really...

TOMAS had a full custom system made up somewhere in Notts, two centre silencers and backbox, wanted it quiet but it was still noisy.

Our 2.5" Jettex Exhaust (which is apparently too big) was put on our car by a well known company who did the 2Ltr conversion 4 us... this is the only exhaust they use for all of their conversions!!!

if you get a backbox made up can you have it made to be a bit quieter, or does it have to be the middle box for quietness?

its all down to the space on xe corsas to put boxes in. i put 3 on adam bs and mine has 3 small ones , i know its a turbo so it will be a bit quieter than an na . and mine is running 2 1/4 bore no problems.

I had a custom one built in Nottingham at PD Gough, very good quality and top quality stainless.
I had 3 silencers with 2.25" bore. Found it to still be quite loud, found out afterwards that they put minimal baffles in the silencers... Had they of increased the number of baffles it would have been waaay quieter.
They are very good but quite expensive.
