^^ as above. Insurance lets me have up to -40mm drop but is that too much? I heard that after -30mm drop the handling gets worse.
I'm talking about just lowering springs, not fancy coilovers.
Any help?

40mm is the maximum you can have on standard shocks. That drop is usually best for both handling and ride comfort.

wouldnt say its to do with the actual drop, more the quality of shocks and springs.
I think people refer to the lower you go the poorer the ride quality will be as there isnt much absorbtion wit hsuch a small spring etc

Personally I wouldn't go below 40mm. I wouldn't say handling is affected, but driveability around town certainly will be!
