If your 17 mate, then just get a 1.2 or 1.4 . . . insurance is crazy until you get some no claims bonus. . . .

I think most companies would prefer 20+ with 1+ years NCD for a 2litre or 22+ on a turbo mate. . .

The above is for affordable and acceptable insurance premiums - Sure they'l insure you more, but for 2 - 3 times the value of the barge. .
