Im wanting to put a cut out switch on my Corsa, to stop it being from being started when this switch is flicked....its to stop joyriding scum from stealing it Im not stealing cars before someone says, theres been a few attempts at stealing cars around my area and cant afford for my Corsa to be one of the statistics.
Anyway on the ignition, theres 4 wires they are .....
Red
Black
Red and Black
Black
What wires should i use to hook my switch up to, please note this switch will have to stop the car from being started
All advice greatly appreciated

it depends on the rating of the switch over time your more than likely burn the switch out if you splice it into the column loom
your better off getting a proper immobiser if your skint splice the switch into positive going to the fuel pump that will stop the car going anywhere
anyhoo the colours are.....
perm12v = Heavy Red
swiched live 12v = Heavy Black
starter 12v = heavy Black/Red

fuel pump wire is blue/red in the main loom what runs under the glove box or rear of the fuse box

I have a switch that will do the job .... it has red and black wires .... what wires should i put the red and black from the switch to ?

you would have to break the heavy black/red and put the switch in there.
You would be better off using a relay and then a switch to activate that.
