whats better

crimp connectors

or solder it on?

for a sub inside the box

Soldering, well i would if you are unable to get to the wiring easily mate, as connecters, can come lose.

solder, always, and if you need to be able to undo it, crimp connectors, soldered on with proper boots, not the crappy blue plastic stuff. And under no circumstances should scotchlocks be used!

no the gauge of wiring im using i dont think a scotch lock will work.
