Vauxhall is a rip off, take it to a proper garage.

Build up a relationship with a local garage you can trust.

Keep trying...

I have been with my garage for 4 years - never let me down, they do all my bodywork, repairs, servicing, M.O.T'ing, re-furbing wheels even quoted me to supply, spray provide the fitting for sideskirts.

This is getting worse and worse

They took the rear brakes off to sort the handbrakes cables and they reckon the drums and shoes are knackered. I said put it back together and I'll do it myself cos I can do that much. But they reckon they are that bad they cant put it back together. Massive lip on drums etc.

So grand total is now £378

Thats my bonus gone and some of my savings to have my car go in the bodyshop. Wanna cry I am getting ripped off big time

I just dont even care anymore

wtf, teel them to put them back on as they were fine for mot and you dont need them. Why cant they just grind the lip off the drums? We do it all the time if they have a lip. Doesnt affect performance at all. At worst you may need a set of shoes which only cost about £20.

What on earth were they doing removing the rear drums to put handbrake cables on???????
sounds more like they've fcuked somthing and want you to cough up..
as for a huge lip stopping them putting the drums on.. utter bollox!
how many miles has your car done? a set of shoes will do a good 100000 miles, the drums even more

You need to remove the rear drum to fit handbrake cables on a corsa. I'd be fuming if that was my car though. Hope you get it sorted mate.
