Okay folks hows it goin?
Had my wee corsa for 2 years now, its a 2000 1.5TD, starting to get a bit bored with it, so gona spend a bit of money on it.
Firstly the wheels, I like them, though the silver is coming off them, i was quoted £50 a wheel to get them redone, but its not worth it cuz i could put it towords new wheels at that price. Is it possible to do it yourself???
I was thinking about going for white, or else black.. prob white, my cars red.. And the wheels are 15". What would be involved?
Also, I might concider lowering it, how much is this gona cost? Think I could get my dad to do it for me, if i get the parts.
Colour coding, how much does this cost, there isnt an aweful lot to be done, plastic round the bumper, the 4 wheel arches, and round the back bumper.
Thanks for any help!

cost of colour coding will change from bodyshop to bodyshop, get yellow pages out and phone around or go to them, always remember to ask to see examples of their work
just a set of lowering springs will cost bout 80-90, if your dad knows how to do it get him to do it, if he don't have a clue get someone who does to do it
don't bother doing your wheels yourself, pay for it to be done or just but some new wheels

I would'nt think that £100 would cover the prep work like filling smoothing scuffs and so on. That prob just the price for the powercoating itself.
Micheal If u have'nt had proper experience with spraying properly with 2k paints and decent spray guns, don't bother mate. You "can" make a mess with the prep work to start with. And a real good 2k top filler primer has to be used, which involves having the surface Very gitty with like 180 wet n dry. Plus there is a real skill thru expereince with using the top filler, anyone who dose'nt know howto do it properly, the paint starts peeling from the wheels in 1 1/2 month.
Don't even bother with spray cans man, the 1k paints are'nt strong enough for wheels, plus no matter what or how u use the 1k lacquer from an areosol, its crap compared to even a cheap 2k lacquer, plus the 2k is about 10 times harder and better wearing. Even the basecoat colour has a bad textured effect from a spray can, espically silver's, so still not as shiney as a standard basecoat from a spray gun.
Bottom line is get it done professionly or u'll regret it, in a few months. BTW please don't take it personally, i'm not aiming this at you or anyone, its just what a gather from ppl's experince, plus my own before i started pro spraying cheers mate. BTW i'll U2U u now, i see u live in Ireland, if your not far i could get them done somewhere for you,
