ive removed the p/s pump and tensioner
what belt do i need to run the alt?

need to change the bottom pulley to and run a v belt style one..... off a 1.4 8v?

i have that yeah,
just wondering what belt i could use if i was to run a ribbed one, ive seen it done on a c16xe

either change the belt and alt for the single v type belt or you need to get hold of an x14xe tensioner assembly from an engine that didn't have PAS or Air con, these aint cheap though you'll need to speak to vaux or autovaux for them

I think I'm using a 900 6 grove blet no tensioner and its fine.
Best thing to do is do go and get a few around that size
