OK wadding is used to make the sub see a bigger box then its it. But it can help the sound out a bit if you put a realy light amount in.

normally waddng is used ifyour sub sits parallel to the back of the sub box?
if it does then the sign wave produced by the sub will hit the back of the box and produce a square wave which sounds crap
so wadding or cotton (i used loft insulation) is used to fix this problem.

ok what do you meen by putting a light amount in.... just a little layer but not filling the box?

put in enough wadding so that when you put your sub in the box you feel a slight resistance against it
