Right my ecu light came on over a week ago so i took it 2 a garage and they said it was my idle control valve. so i bought a new 1 from Vauxhall a couple of days ago(£80) and i fitted it wiv me m8. But yesterday i went 2 give me car some and even though the light was off it was still only lettin me rev 2 3 and half thousand revs then the little shitty light come back on. But i think it just needs resettin(ECU) so ive just disconnected my plus wire goin 2 my battery and am goin 2 leave it 4 a few hours!! So what i wanna no is will that reset it and keep my light off?? cheers

it should clear the memory on its own after about 10 miles driving.if not try turning the ignition on and off 20 times.this resests fault codes.if it keeps doing it it mite b ur crank sensor.check that its clean and not covered in crap.they are magnetically charged and attreact dirt.
