I would buy a panel replacement filter,and save the 50 quid.

What do panel filters do?

apart from the obvious filter the air!!

Increased air flow etc?

Increased air flow,nice throttle responce,no flat spots(unlike the induction kit)and you don't have to replace it every time you service the car,just clean it...my k&n says you have to clean it once every 50-100k miles,but it really depends on where you drive the car,dust etc.I'd say you have to clean it once every 12-15k miles.

And you can drill your airbox(do a search it has been asked million times before and theres a tutorial on it)and put a cold air feed to futher increase the air flow,you get a nicer sound too.

I really don't know cause i've only had experience with k&n...do a search on it mate this things have been disscused many times.

nothing you do with the air filter is going to make the slightest bit of difference on a 1.2 8v
