one of "ask the sellers" questions
I may be wrong as the colours are difficult to read, but your resistor appears to be 1500 Ohm with 5% tolerance. Research in the engineering department at Thames Valley University showed resistors in the range 7000-8548 Ohms gave best gains in horsepower. It was also found that further gains could be achieved by applying a Burberry pattern to the resistor, and by the driver wearing a fake Henry Lloyd jumper bought at the social club (this last bit is important and held research back three years). Yours does not seem to have the Burberry markings for a start, so is this not an inferior product? I am concerned someone is going to end up paying over £100 for something that really isn't worth much more than £90.
You're initial instinct is correct, you are wrong. The Burberry Check is an optional extra and it is recommend in the owner's manual that a tastless jumper should be worn with trainers at all times
