Whats the difference between

2k Etch primer + 2k primer

i have both but dont know the difference

degrease and etch metal, particularly aluminium and galvanised steel to allow adhesion by a primer

Etch it what you want to put on bare metal really, 2k might have more build to it tho. but i dont use 2k etch, i use 1k etch

Etch primer is an acid based paint used to seal bare metal...

You need etch primer to paint onto aluminium - the acid eats away the oxide layer covering the metal in order to get a good key. If you don't use it, the paint will just flake off.

As for normal ferrous metals, I don't think you need the etch primer.

I was going to bare metal my car before the re-spray. It was recomended that I etch primered it before hand.
