The wire that comes from the hall effect sensor on the distributor, where does that go to??

But i have that distributor, the same one as on beardys car, and it does have a hall effect sensor, not points. this is why i'm confused

No where at a guess. Or if your ignition ECU has an input for it it goes into that.

but when your running carbs you don't use an ECU, so it must go onto an ignition ampifier or ignition module right??

You still run an ignition system which has an ECU in some cases...
