Right i have had my car for just under a yr now, when i got it it was perfect and i didnt think there was a need in checking it...big mistake. just be4 christmas it was begging to sound like a diesil, then i checked the oil and was COMPLETLY empty. that problem was sorted out and the noise is not as loud but its still there. is there anyway it can be stopped?

Mine was starting to sound like a diesel and i thought it was the tappets then i found out it needed a new cam chain, someone i know did mine for me so it wasnt that expensive but when i was first asking round, garages wanted around £500!

start off with some basics, my engine made a bit of noise , but i cal,ed it down a bit with some thicker oil, 10/40 synthetic
