mine was done by a panel beater and welder lovely job he did to:

he sprayed it silver but it was done using cellulose so it was a right bitch to respray and stop the paint reacting but did eventually:

i paid 80 quid for that and that was including the bonnet and inside it's a very tidy job unlike some ppls, he welded plates over it to keep it tidy

thing is ppl go to a bodyshop who know they can charge a nice little mark up on it.... u take pics to a welder in your area mate then they'll do it for cheap and probably a better job than most. QVR wanted 450 quid exc VAT for just the badboy not extension so god knows what that'd be with it....

I made vegasphils for him, sheet metal from b&q cut to shape with cardboard templates, borrowed a mig welder from a mate, only took me a couple of hours. Sanded the thing down and paid £30 to get the thing sprayed at my local bodyshop, all in all about £50, bargain

I made mine with fibreglass and a bit of ABS plastic. Sanded it and skinned it with filler. Cost about £3 The whole cracking thing is BS if you do it right, I did mine over 2 years ago.

Sprayed it with 2K, needs resprayed now because the laquer is peeling a little bit where a bird shat on it.
