Right here is one for you lot

Renault Megane Coupe 1.6 1998

Had the car 3 years no problems, until recently.

When the steering wheel is dead centre and doing 50-70mph I get this slight humming/vibrations throughout the ENTIRE car.

Turn to the left and it goes away completly and you can just hear the exhaust.

Turn to the right and the whole car vibrates and drones like hell, more so the further you turn to the right.

Shot in the dark what does everyone think it could be?

fronts are a bit more difficult as you need to remove the suspension, track rod ends, lower ball joints, driveshaft and then take the hub down to a garage/ engineers to get the old bearings pressed out and new ones pressed in.

jack up the car and grab the wheel in the 3 and 9 o clock position and the 12 and 6 o clock position. wiggle it about and see if there is any play.

Jacked it up - Spun wheels and bearings are definetly gone

Was LOTS of play when doing the 12-6 movements and 3-9

sounds exactly the same as what my megane had, and it was the wheel bearing. they aren't expensive, its just the labour.

Take into account the amount of rust/how hard to get parts to be replaced off due to this
