Im on my 3rd c20xe, ive got an intermitant fault with running on but my last 2 engines have both melted No 1 piston and cant afford to go down that road again,
The lump ive got now has been running for 4mths and started to run on about 3 weeks ago so ive been changing some parts ie lamber senser, fuel pump relay & ECU but to no avail so im about to change my temp senser for fuel injecter system.Could someone please point me in the right direction
thanx for any help

this is my 3rd engine with this problem all completely different engines with new timing belt kits! a few peopkle have said this but im not sure as 3 differnt engines is a bit farfetched.

has the belt slipped at all... seems that a new timing belt kit is what all 3 have had in common

all 3 engines had a new timing belt kit all 3 were fitted by different mechanics, its weird though because the engines only just started doing it and its been fine for 4 months, could it be a senser?

could be a wiring fault causing the ecu to get a live feed down the ignition live
