i want easy maintenance... an noise, seems like the ideal solution to me

Looks like a good conversion that, engine looks tiny so hopefully wont weigh a ton either!

What power are you looking at with carbs and the other bits? 160?

150-160... i'm not after huge power, a nice torque figure would put a bigger grin on my face. Engine weighs about the same as an x16xe lump i'd say, maybe a touch more

Bet its p*ss to work on as well as being cheap on parts! The only disadvantage is that it doesnt look as nice as the red top! will sound awesome on carbs tho!

main reason for chossing 8v, parts are cheap and you can actually get to all the bits

Looks like it'll be fun once its in, though the funniest part is if you race that down the strip & beat some 17yr old benny in a saxo you can tell him its a 1.2

a lad I know has a grasser with a 130 lump in it
its blueprinted, balanced etc on twin 45's
had it on rollers and pushed out a tad over 200bhp!!!
goes like stink
its coming out next season to be replaced by a durawank ford lump

I'd prefer a corsa that goes like stink and when it breaks can be fixed in minutes for sod all myself, and the bay aint gunna look empty, i should have space for some decent trumpets on the carbs and a decent filter

I think its a top plan myself! Would be interested to know the weight difference between that and the 20xe.
