what is the differenc in the Below C20xe and the 8v sri lump? and also Ecotec x20xev

0-60?
Weight of Engine+Gearbox?
Top speed?

8v SRi lump is 130 bhp, redtop is 150 ish, ecotec is 134bhp

weight and top speed wise, i aint got a clue, from experience of lugging them out of my boot i'd say the 8v lump is a tad lighter than the xe

Tad or alot mate would think it be loads lighter with only one cam smaller Gear box. or does it still use F20?

uses an f16 box, similar to an f20... seem to weigh the same

same as whats on the x16xe then mate? is there any of them 8v 2ltrs down at cooper bridge? whats the engine code?

x16xe is f15 mate a small box f16 is large... there was a cav down there with one in, the 130 brake jobbie is c20seh, theres loadsa different ones, c20ne is 115bhp, c20se is 122 bhp, c20ser (early) is 124bhp and c20ser(late) is 130 bhp

after looking at this dude im drifting, i wanted a let then Xe now this looks nice and like ya said cheep.

cheaper if you find 22 spline gsi driveshafts too

Apparently not... there are tbs that fit on a carb manifold though.. i was looking the other day

Ebay usually turns up carbs... mine came from migweb, a guy on there had some.

im sure the 8v and 16v share the same block so any weight difference would be in the head

thats pretty much it yeah... with a little work the blocks/heads are interchangeable
