wot cud be the coz ov my car backfiring and also wen my cars been standing a couple ov hours, wen i start it up drive off put my foot on the clutch and the car cuts out then takes about a min or 2 to start it again?

backfiring is caused by unburned fuel igniting in the exhaust system.
when you say it wont start, does it actually turn over or just turn over without starting?

it turns over but it wont start but it dont sound rite wen its turning over? also wen the engines running if i turn it off then start it up again the revs really struggle, engine sounds like its chokin?

this the engine retarding,basicly it turns over to get rid of the unburnt fuel so i dont go through to the cat and knacker it up,if i stall my corsa c and try to restart it straight away it just turns over for a few seconds then it starts up
