Mate needs a bit of help on this, he has no internet access so im asking on his behalf. Any ideas what Dizzy you use on a C20XE running Twin 45 carbs? He said something about he's been told an 8V will work but he's miffed & I haven't a clue!

thats what i used on my old nova xe, sure someone else is running it on here. 
 
better off buying a dta ignition only ecu for vauxhall with carbs though

do u have to run the distributor as i have also got a friend putting an xe in a mk1 cav and on twin webber 45`s, but we havent finished it yet?

a carbed 1.8 cavvy dizzy setup and coil, muppet hit the nail on the head... but there's a little doubt about the advance retard curve on the vacuum advance. Migweb is the place to ask really

there is no vacuum advance when you run that set up, well i never had one. manual did the dizzy by hand until it was happy, tightened up off went. was never quite right at low revs but fine on full throttle. changed it for weber alpha ignition only ecu, ran off crank sensor only, car was 100% driveable then.
