not sure because gsis had abs , but not sure if they were anything to do with ecu.

ABS has it's own ECU...
You will more than likely find that Astra GTE's had 20XEJ's in them which didn't have lambda sensors on them. If this is the case then you will find that the ECU's are different versions of Motronic...

The very early GSi's didn't have lambdas either

I think your wrong rally corsa.
The early GTE's didn't have lambda sensors, the late ones did. There wouldn't have been enough cross over to give non lambda GSi's, added to the fact that all GSi's had CATS...

In fact, all Astra 2.0i 16v's produced between 1988 to 1991 (20XEJ) and 1993 to 1996 (C20XE) supposedly ran Bosch Motronic 2.5 management. It only appears to be Calibras that ran Motronic 2.8... Though I don't know if the lambda equipped ECU's work on the non-lamda equipped looms......

ok, cheers ed btw, i think its my fuel pump relay thats buggered, so i'm gonna get another one.
