gear linkage came off

could only get 3rd and 4th

had to set off from lights taking years off the clutch

anyway gets home let her cool down so i dont burn my arms, takes a look and seen the arm thingy with to thingys on them what ball thingys go into. luckyly it was wendged on somthing so didnt fall out the engine bay

stuck it back on and all seems fine, but this happend the other day too, but only one end of it came off

is there anything i can do to stop this hapening apart from giving the car some stick when changing gears

yeah got to get a new ball joint. easy job, if its the ball joint thats falling out of the cup thing

i broken them... twice

when i had my engine out... just hammered the fook out of it till it poped back in... works a treat now...

did same with me pal, you need to get a new plastic but and clip, lucky laurance had a spare and its all fine, probs wear and tear from having it in your 1.4 then the strain from 2ltr

i change gear like i'm trying to rip the gear stick off, or at least i did last nite. i'll go and take the bit off and get some pics and maybe knock up a langey drawing (technical diagram) and we could maybe all club together for a solution.
