Fitting my exhaust to my turbo i managed to snap one of the bolts on the "elbow" that connects to the exhasut there is hardly any thread petruding on either side so i cant grip it to twist it out

How do i get this tiny peice of screw out? I was told to bash it with a screw driver, but its quite badly corroded on top and it wont seem to budge at all

I have another "elbow" off my old turbo but i cant get my rachet in to loosen the last two bolts the dipstick tube gets in the way, id rather not like to remove the turbo again as i think Mattb would cry

Help

Try giving halfords a ring mate, speak to somebody on parts that knows about tools, cos I think they might do something like that, tell them you think its made by laser tools, called something simple like bolt extractor, I work in one in Cardiff, sure iv seen them but not in work til tomorrow night so cant look for you. hope this helps you mate!

I've removed a snapped bolt by using a hammer and puch as mentioned above! All depends if the thread went in loosely until it began its tension, if so and its possible to get to it, the hammer and punch thing might not work.

If all else fails, drill it out and pick away at th exisiting material thats left.

get a drill and drill the middle of it out then get a flat screwdriver and hit it on the side of the drilled bolt and it will crack and fall out

use an easy-out its a reverse thread drill bit you just screw it in backwards and when it grips it unscrews the bolt.

Dude, i have a set of stud extractors aka easy outs aka reverse drill bits.
they're really simple just a tapered shaft with a sharp reverse thread, so as you screw it into a hole, it undoes the stud once it gets tight.
holler if you need a hand. could possibly pop over 2m evening.
