if i add a sub woofer to the set of standard speakers in my corsa will this over power the corsas speakers. i dont want loud i just want it sounding ok. maybe an 8 inch sub ? someone help. thank you

shouldnt do, ive got 2x12" and their fine but it all depends on the headunit

do u mean wire them to the standard speaker? or do u mean the sum will drown out sound from the standard speakers?

to be honest mate if your running a sub, i would get an amp and some mids. run both of the amp so you get decent sound but keep the standard speakers on the headunit, id say thats the best route to take?

You can only run a sub off of an amp.

i was runnin my crappy 2x8" subs off my sony headunit, using the standard rear speaker wiring, worked fine for ages -

i meant run the sub and the mids from the amp?

then run the orignal speakers *in the front doors* off the headunit?
