On the remote.
My remote wont switch the amp on 
Boy that had it before me, well I dont think he was an sparky  so I will double check all that.
Can I just run a wire straight from the battery to the remote or is a too much for it?

Firstly i'd find out y the remote wasnt working
if u must make some up, i THINK u can just wire it to the battery, but u gotta put a switch in there and remeber to keep turning it off, else ur amp will always be on

I will find out. The wiring is fucking crazy.
There is about 25 cut wires, 4 just twisted together, no solder, no tape or heat shrink.
Radio is a shitter to think I will look at getting a new one

Rerun a remote wire to head unit. No luck though.
Could it just be the headunit it fucked?

im sorry, if the wiring is that bad anyway id rather rip it all out and start again, this is a fire hazard, esecialy when u dont no whats what

Have you always been in newport rich? Where in newport you at?
You can just run a live to the remote and see if it comes on.

If the person before you had several amps on the one remote output of the headunit, then it might have blown it.
