ANYONE FITTED A LARGER THROTTLE BODY?LOOKIN MAYBE TO GET INLARGED THROTTLE BODY THINK REGAL DO THEM

wonder if throttle body off something else like cavalier or somethin will do it?

little gain? 160 odd BHP 1.6 with decent TB's, I dont think thats little.

He's not talking about multiple throttle bodies, talking about a modified o/e throttle body;

he never mentioned throttle bodies he mentioned one single enlarged throttle body about £200 ish expect 3-4bhp.
May as well go for lexmaul/mantzel etc or not bother

ive got a 1.4 16v sport, if i put the throttle body off a 1.6 16v sport, would that make any difference?

think they are the same. If not perhaps but it would be a tiny amount

ive got an enlarged throttle body. didnt pay £200 for it though.

just take your throttle body to a cnc mavhine shop and ask them to mill it out. thaen get them to make an enlarged throttle plate to match. i paid about £40ish i think

not worth doing unless you have other mods to compliment it tho such as inlet, headwork exhaust etc...

good luck trying to get the throttle body body off a c16xe. they are a right slag, the bolts go in from the back instead of from the top like on the ecotec engines.

for the hassle thats involved ur better off leaving it till uve got other mods to compliment it.

The 1.6 8v engines tb's fit, and have a much larger bore.

You'd have to sort something out with the TPS and ICV though.
