got a corsa 1l 12v dont take the piss.  when i start it up from cold for a couple of seconds its sounds like a chain hitting something then it gos and when it dos this the oil light is on there is the right amount of oil in. does any one no whats up with my car or dose it need a new engine like a 2L red top.

yes it needs a new engine like a 2litre red top. thats the way to fix it.
prbably just lifters or tappets, whatever they have in the 1litre engines. maybe oil pump is on its way out.
simplest way to fix it is as you say put a red top in, honest

oil pump. happens a lot to the 1.2 16v as well.
