it will fail on emissions, not the fact it's de-catted.
I read you can buy an expensive sports decat that keeps emissions down..?

i read stories some people with management rig the engine with a custom 'MOT' map, so when its in for its MOT it runs the engine with just enough fuel to turn it over & do the test & also keep emissions down with no decat...

stories yes... but no hard proof

mine failed just because they could see the cat wasn't there, so they wouldn't even test it

yes it will fail the mot.
supersprint, janspeed, 4 branch manifolds, supersprint was 330 squid when i bought it, janspeed do one at about 240 i think, both stanless steel. sportex do one as well for 180/190 but its mild steel. another option would be a sports cat, janspeed do one for 260, while sportex do one at 190 squid. JANSPEED AND SUPERSPRINT ARE AVAILIBLE FROM DEMON TWEEKS, SPORTEX ARE SUPPLIED BY ON-LINE AUTOSPORT.

my car passed the emissions with no cat on a C20XE, it will only fail the MOT if it fails the emissions test, not just because there's no cat (as people above have sad )
