I know Painz uses autoglym but i dont think its any different to meguiars.

My car used to be quite faded but i used the meguiars colour restorer on it and then the polish and it came out realy nicely

Careful with scratch x on lacquered cars it can strip it....

washing mine i do the following mate..

1. water it down fully
2. clean alloys using autoglym stuff and a brush
3. wash alloys off
4. shampoo it all over using the flash thingy and a sponge
5. rinse off using normal water
6. use the autodry magic water forom flash thing
(this is in the shade btw)
7. once its all dried off i wipe down my alloys with chamois
8. then i apply paint renovator to some parts if they're scratched and let it go cloudy for 3/5 mins then buff off
9. i then use autoglym super resin all over (applying via there perfect polishing cloths) and then leave it for 5/10 mins
10. then i buff it all off using the perfect polishing cloths
11. i wipe it down one more time with a mit thing which takes all the shoot off
12. clean windows with fast glass, bumpers with bumper care and tyres with instant tyre dressing
13. then i just admire it... their new polish the one in black bottle as someone mentioned above is awesome though for dark cars i used some on mine the other day and it did bling!

i know it sounds weird but when i've used the autoglym cloths it does come off and buff it up better to just ordinary cloths from chavfords.

Get some 3M hand glaze and use that after leathering instead of polishing.

Do a small area at a time and get it all off before you move on.

Make sure the car is completely dry as any moisture will make it smeary and make your already hard job even harder.

It will take some elbow grease, but is well worth it.

It's particularly effective on lightly hazy bonnets and is good for filling in swirl marks

It doesn't last for ever though, and you will need to reapply after each wash and leather.

As far as polish is concerned, i've always used Autoglym silicon resin and found it to be unbeatable.

A lot of people rave about Mer, but I think it's filth, and refuse to use it as it doesn't seem to improve the finish one iota.

I know this may sound silly but i think megs is better for diff colour cars.

It works a treat on mine due to the colour but super resin from AG worked much better on my mums grey st170!

i just use the cheapest option £1.95 drive through options , its excellent , scratches the lot , if your lucky it also removes windscreen wipers and mirrors.

It does actually. All apart from front bumper which has millions of tiny stone chips on it. But it's fucked and getting replaced anyway (maybe).

Only have time to wash it once a week and it gets filthy again with 1 or 2 days because i live by the beach so roads are all salty and i have to drive through the country side where the roads are all dusty/muddy.

Rebuilt the front end with duck tape on Saturday, then spent 4 hours cleaning it yesterday.

On the Corsa which is red, I swear by meguairs, although the astra is black and I find the autoglym super resin works best on that.

Try Ultra Deep Shine from Auto Glym. It's amazing stuff.

Might have to use super resin polish a couple of times rubbing hard to get the paint lookign good again though!
