I feel cheated

I have been playing 2004 on the X-Box for a very long time, I am a god damm expert at it.

So as ma & pa are away and I have access to a large telly purchased 2005, I starting playing it and god damm its absolute dog sh1t. The movement of the players is almost comical compared with 2004.

Only good thing is the management options but if I wanted to play a manager game I would purchase Total Football Manager not FIFA 2005

Going to trade it in for the new Champ manager tonight its that shite.

One thing I did notice is that Microsoft are now making it and not Electronic Arts.

not played 2004 but been hammering 2005. what does my head in as that my friend is so telegraph with his passing but yet its impossible to stop. Not enough control over the players without the ball when defending.

Also the corner system is shite.

also when you play on line they just cross it in and score loads which is abit faulty.

Yeah its the passing which is totally different on 2005, on 2004 you can intecept passes by doing a sliding tackle and when you done a through ball it was a matter of skill and timing to place it perfectly, now everytime you do a through ball it goes straight through easy.

Honestly its so basic football wise compared with 2004.

And I agree with the defending part, in 2004 you have to really be on the ball with keeping your players in the right position and not pulling them out of position else you leave yourself exposed and you really need a decent football brain not just be good with a control pad.

Where as with 2005 thats not the case and its really basic.

all i do is play a formation with a player the the hole behind the striker.
Is there no way of customising the formations either? like moving wingbacks up etc.?

i play the 5-3-1-1 then i can strecth them out down the wings and pass it back infield and have more space. Don't really need 2 strikers when the through ball is so accurate and hard to stop.

I have to have two forwards though for my style of play otherwise the ball might be loose in the box and nobody is there to pick it up.

Bowditch and Bent upfront, I've trained Bent up and he is now worth 2.4 million

2004 is awful Cant go around people at all - u jus spend the whole match seeing who can score from long distance!

2005 aint great but it is much much better

How often in a real game do you see people going around people? Hardly ever, but I certainly go around players, lean into them then pull the ball back change direction, play a 1-2 with someone and wham bamm your through on goal strike the ball GOOOAAALLLL CCCCCOOOUUUNNNAAAGGGOOOOO

I used to swear by fifa 2003,2004,2005, but my brother bought my pro evo 4 for my birthday and im sorry but its just miles ahead in the way you control the players and how much harder it is to score.

off the ball player control is better unlike fifa

Pro Evo 4 gets my vote

i play 3-5-2 on 2005, attacking two options of scoring through the middle or from the flanks so easy to score from crosses

that what most of the good player play on line. does the head in conceding from crosses all the time.

On 2004 you hardly get crosses coming in and scoring, only if you are in exactly the right position with players in the box do they normally latch on to crosses.

2005 I'm gonna give it another bash tonight and if I still think its sh1te I will wank in the box and swap it for Champ Manager

i remember when i first got it on ps2 i thought it was wank but has grown on me in time, i lost to portsmouth 3-2 with arsenal the other day i was actually pleased i lost
