On 2004 you hardly get crosses coming in and scoring, only if you are in exactly the right position with players in the box do they normally latch on to crosses.

i play 3-5-2 on 2005, attacking two options of scoring through the middle or from the flanks  so easy to score from crosses

I used to swear by fifa 2003,2004,2005, but my brother bought my pro evo 4 for my birthday and im sorry but its just miles ahead in the way you control the players and how much harder it is to score.

How often in a real game do you see people going around people? Hardly ever, but I certainly go around players, lean into them then pull the ball back change direction, play a 1-2 with someone and wham bamm your through on goal strike the ball GOOOAAALLLL CCCCCOOOUUUNNNAAAGGGOOOOO

I have to have two forwards though for my style of play otherwise the ball might be loose in the box and nobody is there to pick it up.

And I agree with the defending part, in 2004 you have to really be on the ball with keeping your players in the right position and not pulling them out of position else you leave yourself exposed and you really need a decent football brain not just be good with a control pad.

Yeah its the passing which is totally different on 2005, on 2004 you can intecept passes by doing a sliding tackle and when you done a through ball it was a matter of skill and timing to place it perfectly, now everytime you do a through ball it goes straight through easy.

not played 2004 but been hammering 2005. what does my head in as that my friend is so telegraph with his passing but yet its impossible to stop. Not enough control over the players without the ball when defending.
