only possible explanation was from when i sprayed autoglym engine cleaner on my gearbox to clean it up... other than that it basically stopped between me getting out of my car, cleaning it then going out again
is it cable or electronic?

This happened to one of my mates it turned out to be that a fuse had blown. Might be worth checking.

post year/model of your car/engine so someone will be able to tell you if its cable or electronic.
check round the gbox for cables, pushing them in to make sure theres contact and stufff.

Corsa 1.2I 16v SXI yr2000
every other gauge works, revs .etc are fine its just the speedo, i think it may be electronic so i'll go check fuses and let u know...
will they be in the fuse holder underneath the light switches .etc inside or in the engine?

checked haynes? I think its inside the car on the B, but mine is a verrry old one.
If its inside the bay it should be pretty obvious where they are.
