been searching, but cant find a proper answer, want to get some 17" wheels for my corsa, now I understand that I'll probably have to cut off the bolts for my rear arches and bond them back on which is no problem
I just need to know the best offset etc. to get.

corsas run ET49 as standard, most companies will only go upto 45 though, some will go higher, but 45 is a commonly used offset and it seems ok!

Boss, Team Dynamics, Smiths (now part of Boss), Arospeed, Speedline, Compomotive...
In a 17" wheel, you're better off going for ET45 as you'll struggle to find ET49 in such a large wheel.

Tyres, if you can afford them, 195/40/17 (Pirelli P-Zero Nero) otherwise 205/40/17 (slightly wider).

i ran 205/45/17 on mine which were cheaper and i had no scrubbing at all. ET45 and bolts were left on 2

So anything above ET 45 should be fine for 16"'s with a 40mm drop?
