Since having a c20XE with F20 gearbox put in my 1.4SRi the reverse light no longer works, I have checked the bulbs and all the other lights work fine. Any ideas what this might be? maybe a sensor on the gearbox?

not sure! would it matter that it was a different gearbox? just had a thought it might be a fuse, anyone got a diagram of a corsa B SRi 95-reg fuse box? cant find my manual anywhere

well if the switch that tells the light to swtich on and off as i sellect reverse isnt connected then yeah it would make a huge difference
open the bonnet and look at the front of the gearbox the swithc is right there it MUST be connected for the reverse lights to work....

I had this same problem, ended up being the switch in the F20 that was FUBARD. Get a new one if when you have it all connected it still don't work. Piece of piss to change.

I meant does it matter that the switch might be a different type than the standard one ! lol, just checked the fuses so it aint that, will go down in a mo and have a look at the switch but i'm sure everything is connected up

if everything is connected up then i'd try a different switch... the 1.4 one in your old gearbox may fit...try that first before you fork out for a new one

will do, wheres a good place to get a new one from (asides from vauxhall who will prob charge over the odds)?

to check everything once the switch is out, connect the two wires on the plug and check if the light works. if they do, its the switch thats faulty
